Ch Wet Acres Moonshine, owner Lonnie Carroll, Jr. Multiple group placing dog - #3 in U.S. 2005 and 2006 Our Man In Finland Long missing from our web page is our man in Finland, Wet Acres Gold Standard, owned by Christina Carpelan and Ted and I. “Kuti” flew to Finland with his then dad, Janne Sumusalo, as a 12 week old puppy, and became a presence in Finland as soon as he came on the show scene with his mom, Christina Carpelan. He has accumulated a number of titles and “firsts” along the way. His titles are Junior Winner, 2000, Winner 2000, 2001 and 2002, as well as Nordic Winner 2001 and 3004, and European Winner 2003. He won the Reserve CACIB at the 2002 World Show in Amsterdam where I was able to visit with Christina, Kuti and Pati, his wonderful Griff kennelmate. His “firsts” are notable - “Kuti” was the first Griffon to earn a Puppy Best In Show and also the First Griff to earn a Group I in the Pointing Dog Group (Group 7). Most recently, he was invited to his Third champion of champions show, an invitation only competition limited to the top 100 show dogs (all-breed) in Finland. Christina is now concentrating on field trials with this great boy and hunts him regularly. “Kuti’s” parents are Dam: Wet Acres Absolut Aplombm, now owned by Mike and Elizabeth Gannon, and Sire: Ch Fireside’s Hot Stuff, the latter owned by Rob Gerity and Wendy Gerity of Flatbrook fame. We are fortunate to have been able to place this wonderful dog in an equally wonderful home.
